Rocinante flying her pretty new staysail

“This was my first sail buying experience, and I think I was spoiled! Jamie guided me through the entire process in detail, provided thorough worksheets to measure our boat for a perfect fit. Once we had made the final decision on dimension for this new stays’l, the sail was made and delivered in record time. I couldn’t believe it! We had a tight deadline, and I didn’t think it was possible, but we left right on schedule. Next is a new jib, and I look forward to working with Jamie and Phil again on this one.”

—Ben & Teresa Carey, Norseman 447 Rocinante. Staysail delivered to the USA. Sail training expeditions, and why they love this hank-on sail.

honey ghosting along

The Catana 47 Honey, ghosting along with her new screecher

We want to cruise in warm places which means lower latitudes therefore light winds with occasioanl thundery squalls. The screecher we settled on from Jamie and Phil came after openly discussing the options and the type of sailing we wanted to do, married with our boat type. The 96 sq m screecher was delivered to Sorong, West Papua, Indonesia in record time, with prompt and thorough after sale advice and we are thrilled. It has served our Catana perfectly and meant we have enjoyed one and a half times greater speed than the genoa. The quality of workmanship is faultless and our only regret is we could have ordered one earlier in our cruising life.”

—Tim & Jude Crow, Catana 471 Honey. Screecher delivered to rural Indonesia – Honey is for sale in NZ.

Stephan’s pretty happy with his new sails! Sea trial off Langkawi

“It was a real joy to have Jamie spec my new sails. I got some great advice and as a novice sailor Jamie was ever helpful in accommodating newbie questions. The cherry on top was sea trials with the crisp new sails in perfect 12 knot conditions, during which I got great advice on sail shape and trim for my specific rig.”

“We were very fortunate to run into Jamie in Phuket, Thailand. We needed to replace our mainsail before tackling the Indian Ocean. Together with Phil, Jamie designed a new one with all the bells and whistles we wanted including triple stitching, three reefs, tenara thread and full battens. Three weeks later the sail was delivered to us in Langkawi, Malaysia and Jamie was there to help put it on and make sure it fit. Hands down this was the easiest,  most pleasant sail buying experience we’ve ever had and we got a great sail. We would get another sail through Jamie in a heartbeat.”

“Nevermind that the new headsail was great value for my 44ft Dean but Jamie is a pleasure to work with. I also advise potential buyers to commission him to do a proper rigging check. He found important weaknesses previous ‘riggers’ overlooked.”
